CAM4 Sponsoring New York AIDS Walk

LOS ANGELES — CAM4 has announced that it will once again be sponsoring the New York AIDS Walk. The event will take place in support of the nation’s leading provider of HIV/AIDS care, the Gay Men’s Health Crisis.

“CAM4 is a leading advocate for helping the gay community and helping all issues that relate to gay men’s health,” a rep said, “and the company is proud to be able to return for a second year to show their support for the work done by the GMHC.”

James Flint, content manager at CAM4 said, “The New York AIDS Walk supports an exceptional cause that means a lot to our global community. The walk has raised more than $150 million for GMHC and is the world’s single largest AIDS fundraising event. More than 20,000 people are expected to attend and raise millions for people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. As a community that supports sexual openness, freedom and equality, CAM4 asks that if you are able, please join us in supporting the work done by the GMHC with donations, physical participation and general support throughout the week and on the day of the event”.

The event will feature hosts from “Queer Eye,” Tan France and Antoni Porowski, as well as Academy Award winner Mercedes Ruehl, Broadway star Michael Urie, Andrea Navedo (“Jane the Virgin”), Nico Tortorella (“Younger”), Annie Golden, Selenis Leyva, Dale Soules, Hunter Emery (“Orange Is the New Black”), Matt Bomer (“Boys in the Band”) and Rosie Perez (“Rise”). In addition to the traditional 10K walk through Central Park and the streets of the Upper West Side, the event will also feature the Macy’s five-mile run within the park.

Upon their return from the route, fundraising participants will be treated to a Post-Walk Show at Rumsey Field with Frenchie Davis and the Pointer Sisters as well as performances by top stars of "RuPaul's Drag Race" including Aja, Milk, Trinity Taylor, Phi Phi O'Hara, Jiggly Caliente, Ivy Winters and host Alexis Michelle.
